Only in a few places in the world, like at La Sabbiosa, have the vines with their original "piede franco" roots been preserved, allowing you to taste the pure and ancient flavor of European grapes.

All our vineyards are organic, situated on sandy soils, and are on their original rootstocks. The oldest ones are cultivated as small trees or supported bushes, while some of the younger ones are trellised.

In the field, the work has remained as it used to be: treated with sulfur and copper, fertilized with manure and vetch, weeds are manually removed, or through the green manure technique... But let's not forget the modern and sustainable practices of organic farming, such as integrated pest management. This is how we rediscover the true taste of this ancient grape variety.

The harvest, rigorously done by hand, takes place in the second half of September. Thanks to the cool Mistral wind, high temperatures are never reached in the vineyards, and the grapes ripen correctly over a longer period.
